The Right Way To Get Ketchup Out Of The Bottle Is So Obvious It Hurts

If you’re an avid ketchup eater and you love burgers, fries and chicken nuggets, you know getting ketchup out of a bottle is easier said than done.

Well, what if I told youthat we have all been using the wrong techniquesto get ketchup out of those annoying glass bottles this ENTIREtime?! Because we have.

According to Cosmopolitan, Heinz finally let the public in on a little secret — there’s a correct way to effectively get ketchup out of the bottle when it’s just not coming out. No, it doesn’t require you to break the bottle open, although that might seem like the only feasible option at times. It turns out the answer has been right in front of us this entire time. Literally.

It turns out Heinz told Mirror Online the secret to obtain all the ketchup, revealing,

The sweet spot to tap on the Heinz bottle is the embossed 57 on the neck. All you need to do is apply a firm tap where the bottle narrows, and the ketchup will come out easier.

That’s right, the little “57” embossed on the side of every Heinz ketchup bottle was strategically placed there as a sweet spot to tap firmly when you’re trying to get the good stuff out.

Can you spot it?

An easier way to make sure you’re never ketchup-less would be to buy one of the plastic, squeezable bottles. But let’s be real — that’s SUPER lame. Glass bottles all the way!
